Focus on your Surroundings
This technique helps ground you in the real world.
- Name five things you see in the room.
- Describe them aloud. Their colors, patterns, textures, size, anything.
- Listen & identify four sounds around you. A bird chirping, music in the other room, even the sound of the refridgerator!
- Find & feel three textures whether it is the chair you are sitting in, your feet on the ground or maybe
some cool running water.
- Focus on everything in the world around you.
